We invite alumni to bring an unwrapped toy as a donation. The toys will be distributed to two Puerto Rican charities on January 6, 2009 (Día de Reyes), to benefit the children of Puerto Rico.

The Washington Center is pleased to announce the creation of the Pilar Barbosa Alumni Board (PBAB)

The Washington Center is pleased to announce the creation of the Pilar Barbosa Alumni Board (PBAB). Six alumni have been selected to serve on the PBAB for a two-year term. The Pilar Barbosa Alumni Board is made up of visionary Pilar Barbosa alumni from a variety of professional backgrounds, districts, and class years. They believe in the program’s power to inspire Puerto Rican teachers for a lifetime of connection and service to their schools and communities. The alumni board members represent the full membership of over 200 Pilar Barbosa alumni and provide quality, overall direction for all alumni activities.
